The results of a prolonged winter bout would not be similar (try this as an experiment--although lauded as "winter hardy" in articles, we have had no success overwintering it in outdoor beds).

While slow growing, this is a very beautiful distinctive clone, gaining popularity as a dense accent in a collection of container plants, especially in the cool (that is, for Camellias or Cymbidiums) hobby greenhouse or conservatory. We follow the European and Asian nomenclature and consider the slim lime yellow-rimmed form (with narrower outline) to be 'Elegantissima' and the bright gold oval leaved form to be 'Sunburst.' These various clone names are very very mixed up in the nursery trade.
